QUALIFICATIONS

More than 25 years experience of System Design, Project Management and Installation of Audio Visual systems.

From 2013 thru 2019 I ran my own small company The Big Picture doing A/V installations. I have designed systems, produced system drawings and installed systems in a wide variety of specialized environments. Some of the projects I worked on include large “War Room” projects at Government and Military installations. Museum display, performance theater, casino surveillance, executive conference rooms, videoconferencing systems, classrooms, medical simulation labs, auditoriums, and churches are some of the types of work I have done.

I was the on-site Project Manager for the upgrade of all the displays at the University of Alabama football stadium. And I was the Project Manager for the wiring phase for the move of the radio and TV stations at the University of Alabama. I was In 2014 I worked as a Video Technician during the creation of the ESPN-SEC systems at Alabama and Auburn Universities.

 I supervised the installation of a performance theater in a Diamond Jo's casino in Iowa. I worked closely with the consultant, making many engineering changes on-site as the build developed. I was the lead on the project from construction through customer training.

I have also installed teleconference, tele-medicine and distance learning classrooms in colleges and businesses across the Southeast.  



EXPERIENCE

 2012 to Present 
Owner of the company The Big Picture

Traveled the Eastern United States working as an Installer and Project Manager. Worked on larger scale video display systems for Military and Government. Worked as a Project Manager on Video systems at the University of Alabama. Worked on ESPN-SEC broadcast systems at Alabama and Auburn. Have done sub contract work for some of the largest A/V companies in the Southeast.


June 2010 to June 2012 Interactive Solutions
Installation Technician

Installed videoconference systems in a variety of government, business, medical and educational facilities. Experience with Polycom and Cisco codecs. Integrated conference systems into classrooms, auditoriums, medical facilities and meeting rooms.



August 2007 to April 2009 Sportview Technologies
 Project Manager

Responsible for Project Management and supervision of sub-contractor crews to install Surveillance, Security, AudioVisual and Theatrical Systems in casinos. In Alabama I was responsible for the installation of a surveillance system that included more than 900 cameras. In Iowa I supervised the installation of multi purpose Performance Theater that included flying speaker clusters, preparing wire pull lists, installation of amplifier racks, stage boxes, intercom system, sound booth, and integration of a projection system. Worked closely with the consultant to make on-site engineering decisions as many changes were made during construction. Project coordinator and on site supervisor for 10 months from beginning of the job until completion of final construction including testing and training for customer acceptance of systems.  



April 2005 to August 2007 Self-employed
Independent A/V installer.

Worked for some of the leading Audio Visual companies in the South in a variety of locations and environments. Additional details provided on request.

Responsible for the installation, integration and testing of AudioVisual and Teleconferencing systems.

Project Manager, Designer

Designed A/V, Audio, and Video systems for a wide variety of customers needs and environments. Prepared systems designs, drawings and supervised installations for meeting rooms, auditoriums, executive conference rooms and corporate video production systems. Prepared all hardware and labor quotes for system installations. Provided Project Management and supervision of sub-contractors and employees.

Assisted LAN Manager in supporting computer network including desktop and mid-range computer systems. Maintained all A/V equipment used in meeting and training rooms.



MILITARY
United States Army Security Agency

Top Secret Security Clearance Constructed and tested circuit boards for prototype systems developed for electronic countermeasures and surveillance. Awarded ASA Certificate of Achievement, Good Conduct Medal, and an Honorable Discharge
